Automated profiling systems create high precision elliptical profiles on blades and vanes. Their adaptive and closed-loop capabilities allow them to reach a ± 25 micron tolerance. Our automated systems include an inspection system used to perform final profile inspection of the leading and trailing edges. The repeatability of the measurements obtained is: Gage R&R (EV) ≤ 12 % for a tolerance of ±50µm/±.002″ within 4 sigma.

Our robotic automated visual inspection solutions detect surface defects, the presence or absence of elements and the position of features. ICS currently offers inspection systems that recognise 2D characters and ensure that a feature is positioned correctly or in the required dimension. This type of inspection may include surface profile analysis and the software tools use precision calibration and morphological analysis.
